Newcomer Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the eastern with the wild west in a great game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the casino, unlike nearly all other poker games that players compete against other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t need to be concerned about other, more experienced people winning their mulla.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, beginners can take their time and plan without needing to make hasty choices.

It is also easier to bet on for a very long time with basically a tiny amount of money since, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards face up and the casino gets 7 cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the casino’s.
