Novice Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient origins. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the far east with the west in a wonderful game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to fret about any other, more knowledgeable people taking their moolla.

An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game play, rookies should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick selections.

It’s also simpler to participate in for an extended time with only a little amount of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands has to be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the casino receives 7 cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand must be made from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
