Caribbean Poker Codes and Hints

Poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to 21 than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers attain five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or give up. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning wager, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including an amount equal to the initial wager. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays out chips equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
